it wasnt a clone of Himself, it was His son Jesus Christ. and you are right in saying the crucifixion is not the most painful way to die but keep in mind that He was beatin sensless almost to the point of death before He had to carry the cross all the way to the hill being cussed at and spat on all the way there. and then He was nailed to the cross where He hung for ours til death. so yes the crucifixion itself might not be the most painful way to die but dont forget everything else he did forus

Not the most painful, no. But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t awful.

The gory details: Because of the way you are nailed to the cross, you have to push yourself up to be able to breathe.

For a few hours. In EXCRUCIATING pain.

At which point, your legs are broken, so you can’t lift yourself up anymore.

And you suffocate.

And to think that he didn’t have to even do this.
No one can compare to the pure compassion Jesus gave through his life and death.
