And yeah .MOV is pretty incompatable with Vegas I had to search for a certain make of Vegas to be compatible with the CHD footage.

ps – I think they were having a laugh with the coupon name at Actioncameras :p We rode up to their office/warehouse in Acton to pick ours up and looked like the kind of place one might like to have fun.

Encoding time is the worst! My most recent work-around is plugging the component wires to my other camera which internally converts the video in real time like a capture card and then capture it via firewire directly into Vegas.

try playing the raw video in VLC rather than Quicktime. Often helps with these kinds of issues. For editing, encode it as Apple Prores (on a Mac) or Apple Intermediate (on a PC). Very good quality for edit. We use it at work (VFX).

Yes I know exactly what you need. They’re real cheap things from china. Search ebay for wireless camera. They’re generally available for a few bucks <10. And you'll find for what they are they're very good. But they're oldschool composite video. Message me for an example.

When I watch in 1080p it does the same thing as your computer (full screen or normal YT) why?
On a MacBook.

Great review Sven. Definately a problem with these cameras and microphones. Im gonna try experimenting with recording audio via the Scala headset to a voice recorder on my phone, then sync it with the gopro video, this way im carrying no extra kit. Worth a try!

Enough of my waffling, haha love it. This looks like a better camera then the gopro but it don’t look as tough to me.

the go pro is “better” tho. as far as sound from the devices mic. theres a few comparison videos and the go pro really shines then
