I happen to be a real expert on Pokemon. Here are a few tips to make sure you don’t buy fake cards.
Check for the Nintendo logo. If it’s not there, it’s fake!
The logo on the knockoffs don’t normally match the logos on the original merchandise.

P.S.: I got a knockoff Pokemon Crystal for Christmas. Please research some of the fake Pokemon games.

this dollar store that used to be m=by my grandparents house, had knockoff pokemon cards, almost ll had typos, not energy card needed etc etc

some tips for fake pokemon cards:
1.real cards have curved edges. most of the time knock offs have sharp edges.
2.current cards have shadows. if a card is from a set which is suppost to be current. it should not be shadowless. shadowless should only be on old 1st gen cards.
3. no nintendo logos
4. bad grammer.
5. cards have weird gold edges and stuff
6. art took from the anime
7. a booster pack having like 5 or more rare cards.
8. off center art.

yes, some cards come packaged like that only they are VERY expensive

look for the nintendo logo
and most pokemon championship cards dont come out till the year of the championships
also in california most pokemon packets are $9.00 each packet
to get the championship cards and to be sur that there the real thing go to the pokemon champioships
