another trip to MDI then?
If the compressed air in the car’s airt tanks is so high pressure, more than normal compressed air tanks in industry, how can the hose used to refuel support so much pressure????
Scuba tanks are filled slowly, because if filled fast the air heats up. When the air cools later, the pressure is reduced. CNG (compressed natural gas) rapid fills typically lose about 25% of their pressure once the gas cools. I expect air to be the same. Don’t expect to get the predicted operating range with a rapid refill (of course, none of the MDI prototypes have ever come anywhere near doing the claimed operating range, so it is somewhat of a moot point).
ah for chriest sake charlie! Is this all you do? go around youtube finding movies about things related to the air car just to the talk negative about it? seriously… accept that the world is changing
Some things don’t change. There’s still a sucker born every minute.
For an even better air car, look at Magnetic AirCars. This car generates its own energy, refilling its own airtanks. After intially starting using their special battery, this vehicle will run forever, never having to be refueled.
Just like the MDI air car, it won’t be available for a couple of years.
Hahaha … how brain amputated one has to be to think that this shitty compressed air stupidity solves any energy problem??? Ah, because this shit doesn’t emit CO2 when driving??? Ah, and who or what compresses the air??? Really, how brain amputated one needs to be.
And please, this shit is certainly no ‘new technology’ or “smart invention”, but the latest rubbish from France that does not work. Please, Frenchies, do us a favor and cultivate wine!
Scam.
roberty2, is the REAL scam!
he travels around randomly posting comments accusing inventors of being frauds and criminals.
When you challenge him for referances he runs!
Deliberate disinformer
Thank you for the clarification on using the engine as an onboard compressor — from 1:55 to about 3:15 in the video.
Apparently the engine can only put out 10 bar as a compressor and needs an external compressor/booster to get the air all the way up to 300 bar. This info is not clear in MDI’s promotional literature.
“ah for chriest sake charlie! Is this all you do? go around youtube finding movies about things related to the air car just to the talk negative about it?”
Yep because I hate scamming arsewipes such as MDI getting drooling adulation from technical illiterates
If the air is compressed in tanks overnight, as they plan, then the air will already be cooled by the time the car owner needs a refuel.
Even if the air were still hot, that wouldn’t make much difference to the range if the car was still on a journey, since it would be using the air immediately at that pressure.
You and fizzguts are both PR-men of oil companies?
mrlds are you unable to use google or read? The MDI air car has ONE published test. It went 5 miles WHEE!
It’s 5 times less efficient than an electric vehicle
They have been promising to sell cars next year since 1999 Nada zip zero
Air car = Joke con scam fraud
they quote 200km range for their smallest car, i would love to see this proven but to me its sounds a bit optimistic , i guess more like 20km.
