Yes it was vey bad. During the 1993 accusations by the Chandler family, She went on national TV and said that she believed them to be true and she could not stand back and remain silent. She also wrote a terible book about her family. However the world’s media broadcast her words and it did not help Michael’s case at all. Later on she retracted claiming that her bullying husband made her say those things. Unfortunately the damage had already been done.
